Welcome to the Pair-A-Dice Farm website. My name is Lori Perry. I, along with my husband Kim, own and operate our little farm. We are located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Penninsula near the Wisconsin border.
Pair-A-Dice Farm was established in 1995. We had quite a variety of animals back then including horses, cows, pigs, llamas, goats, donkeys, rabbits, emus, chincillas, and assorted poultry. I purchased my first Border Collie, Maggie, in 1993 and my second, Jack, in 1995. At the time I didn't know a hill of beans about good herding lines. As it turns out they were rather well bred dogs. In September of 1999, when Maggie was 6 years old, a woman who had purchased pups from me (and later became my very good friend) suggested going to a Jack Knox herding clinic. Neither myself nor Maggie had ever done any herding but we went anyway. Jack Knox had Maggie circling and balancing stock in the first session. I was amazed and in awe. Within a month I traded llamas for sheep. Shortly thereafter the rest of the animals were sold so I could pursue herding which has now become my passion.
